TRD Membership Application

Waiver

I affirm that I have read this document and understand its contents.

I understand that running, racing, cycling, swimming, social activities, and other activities in which TRD and its members participate, or that are sponsored or organized by TRD and/or by representatives or members of TRD, including any of the Released Parties listed below (collectively, �TRD Activities�), are activities with an inherent element of danger and risk. I agree not to enter and participate in any TRD Activity unless I am medically able and properly trained. I voluntarily assume sole responsibility for all risks associated with participating in TRD Activities, including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, spectators or others, the effect of the weather, including heat and/or humidity, and traffic, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.

In consideration of your acceptance of this application to become a member of TRD, a) I, for myself and for anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive, release, and discharge TRD and its members, sponsors, officers, website administrators and moderators, representatives, coaches, employees, agents, licensors, suppliers, contributors to any blog contained on the TRD Website (�TRD Blog�), and contributors to the TRD Website Bulletin Board (�Bulletin Board�) (collectively, the �Released Parties�), from all claims or liabilities of any kind, known or unknown, arising out of my participation in or traveling to and from any TRD Activity; b) I agree not to sue any of the Released Parties for any of the claims or liabilities that I have waived; and c) I indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims made or liabilities assessed against them as a result of my actions during any TRD Activity even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
 
I grant permission to the Released Parties to use or authorize others to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of my participation in any TRD Activity for any legitimate purpose without remuneration.

When I take part in races or other organized athletic events I will abide by the rules set forth by the organizers of those events. This includes refraining from transferring race numbers to an unregistered runner or running with someone else's race number where that is prohibited. I understand that violation of this requirement is grounds for sanction by TRD, up to and including my permanent dismissal from the team. I agree to abide by any decision of any official connected to any such event relative to my ability to safely complete the event.

I have read the TRD Website Use Agreement and agree to all conditions, terms, and notices therein.
